“Any art or craft form is a meditation in itself, only thing required is the awareness around it.” It is with this simple belief that Kilmora, a brand promoted by Kumaun Grameen Udyog, has been working since 1996 to enhance the livelihoods of hill communities of the Kumaon Himalayas. KGU currently works with approximately 300 artisans (weavers and knitters) all year round, and sources its agri-products from over 700 small farmers seasonally. Kilmora products include hand woven and hand knitted textiles and small crafts. All profits are ploughed back into rural development activities. Kilmora strives to give quality and a fair deal to both the customer and the rural producer.
