Last Forest is a marketing initiative of Keystone Foundation. The organic, sustainably harvested products made by local communities in and around Kotagiri in the Nilgiri Hills keep indigenous knowledge alive, provide local employment and are marketed in keeping with fair trade principles. Beeswax, sourced from the Nilgiri forest hives are used to make a variety of body care products. All these are made by women in production centres that are built in villages within the forest. There is a stringent quality check process to ensure that only the best reaches the customer. Providing livelihoods and training, along with the mission to preserve, conserve and nurture the environment, is what Last Forest is in brief.
